Neuropsychological testing

mental health · Services

30% coinsurance · After deductible (SBC)

What it is

An in-depth series of tests, usually several hours, that measure memory, attention, and problem-solving to evaluate concerns like a brain injury, ADHD, dementia, or learning differences.

What you pay

You pay 30% of the plan's negotiated price and the plan pays the other 70%, once you have met your $2,000 deductible. Before then you pay the full negotiated price, and what you pay counts toward the deductible.

Looking for something else? Different from Psychological testing — neuropsychological testing specifically evaluates brain function (memory, attention, cognitive skills) and is often ordered after a head injury or for suspected cognitive decline. Psychological testing evaluates mood, personality, and behavior. Ask the ordering provider which one they mean, since they're billed and scheduled differently.
